How to come to Institute for Scientific Studies of Cargèse - University of Corsica

Registration Form

Pre-registration links both are mandatory

The process to finalize your registration is somewhat complex and has been imposed on us by the existing tools (Azur-Colloque for billing and IESC for the center). To complete your registration, please make sure that you have completed each step.

On the website Azur-Colloque (https://dr11.azur-colloque.fr/inscription/fr/347/preinscription), you must:

(1) Complete the pre-registration form (1 form)
(2) Wait for a pre-registration confirmation email
(3) Complete the registration and pay the registration fees

On the website IESC (https://iesc-inscriptions.fr/login), you must:

(1) Register (Inscription/registration) with your first name, last name, email, and password
(2) Complete the 2 pre-registration forms and validate the pre-registration
(3) Wait for a pre-registration confirmation email
(4) Carefully complete the 4 additional forms
(5) Wait for a registration confirmation email

Notes:

Please make sure not to mix up your first and last names between the two websites, as this may cause serious issues.
Please use the same email address on both websites, otherwise this may cause serious issues.
You should normally be able to modify most of the information, even after validation.
Accompanying persons, room arrangements, etc., are not guaranteed. We will do our best (and we have quite a few constraints).

Transport/Shuttle from Ajaccio Airport

On 26/04, there will be two MDD shuttles, one in the early afternoon and one in the late afternoon.
On 02/05, there will probably be two shuttles in the morning (times to be confirmed depending on flights)
Alternatively, there are also reasonably priced public shuttle buses on 2 May (none on 26 April). See:

The shortest access point to the IESC is Ajaccio, and it is only accessible by boat or by plane.

Transportation is the aspect that requires the greatest involvement from participants who wish to be more eco-responsible in the way they travel.

Below is some information on the carbon cost of different modes of transport (source futur.eco):

Paris–Ajaccio by plane (round trip) 476 kg CO₂e
Paris–Marseille by TGV (round trip) 4.8 kg CO₂e
Marseille–Ajaccio by ferry (round trip) 244 kg CO₂e

Low-carbon alternative:

From April 2024, the SAILCOOP cooperative offers sailing crossings between Saint-Raphaël and Calvi.

Other routes, not via Ajaccio, are possible, but please note that public transport in Corsica is infrequent. Driving across Corsica allows you to discover magnificent landscapes, but it takes time.
